about the artist

Molly Neves was born and raised in Utah, where her lifelong love of art took root. Her family often jokes that you could always find Molly by following the trail of paper scraps left in her creative wake. She earned a BFA in Printmaking and a degree in Art Education from Brigham Young University, later returning to complete a Master’s in Art Education.

For five years, Molly worked as an elementary art specialist and enjoyed watching young students experience the arts. While pursuing her master's degree, she fell in love with landscape painting and the personal connection it fosters with place. Her work on place-based art education projects deepened that appreciation and inspired her current focus on plein air painting and landscapes.

Molly has studied with esteemed artists such as Kate Starling, Rob Adamson, John Poon, Kimball Geisler, and Susie Jarvis.

She currently lives in Utah with her four energetic children and looks forward to the moments she can sneak away to paint, ski, or mountain bike with her husband.
